Halloween has always been a special time for young Tommy, ever since the year his devil-worshipping grandpa gave him a treasured pentagram pendant and murdered his father with a claw hammer.

But Tommy is on the cusp of manhood now, and his wicked grandfather wants to fully initiate him into the coven of Satanists he leads out in an abandoned barn. Tommy's mother doesn't cotton to the idea, and she pleads with the devilish old man to leave her son alone.

Meanwhile, a hooded figure is brutally slaying young people in the family's rural hometown, which is bad news for the kids planning a big costume party at the community center.
