Three Dog Night was formed in 1967 in Los Angeles, California, was founded by vocalists Danny Hutton, Cory Wells, and Chuck Negron. The trio was soon joined by Jimmy Greenspoon on keyboards, Joe Schermie on bass, Michael Allsup on guitar, and Floyd Sneed on drums, solidifying the band’s lineup.
Between 1969 and 1975, Three Dog Night achieved remarkable success, recording 21 Billboard Top 40 hits, including three that reached number one: “Mama Told Me (Not to Come),” “Joy to the World,” and “Black and White.”.
